Samba!!


Samba is a musical genre, from African roots that emerged in Brazil and considered the national pace for excellence. Considered one of the main Brazilian popular culture, samba became a symbol of national identity. Among its unique features is a way where the dance is accompanied by small melodic phrases and slogans to create anonymous, the foundations of samba born in Recôncavo Bahiano and led in the second half of the nineteenth century, the city of Rio de Janeiro by blacks who migrated from Bahia and settled in the then capital of the Empire. The Bahian samba, which in 2005 became a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, was one of the bases for the samba carioca.
